Run by the Havelock North Live Steamers, a dedicated group of steam train enthusiasts, Keirunga Park Railway is a mini operational steam train large enough for adults and children to sit on. Travel on single tracks, crossing loops, a curved wooden trestle, tunnels and more on 846 metres (half a mile) of track. Open to the public on the first and third Sunday each month from 11am to 4pm.

Focusing around a massive water park, Splash Planet has more than just waterslides with rides such as Double Dipper Dual Tube Ride and Pirate Ship and Boating Lake. There are many dry activities too such as mini-golf and Fantasyland Train & Village. With 16 rides and attractions in the summer and nine in the winter, Splash Planet is a year round activity centre. Open in the summer daily from 10am to 6pm, and winter on weekends only from 10am to 5pm.
